Who we are

Zinc Online Solutions was founded by Dilean Barroso. We do AI consultation, custom development and managed services for companies that need software built properly and then kept running. Most of that work sits behind an NDA, which is awkward when you want to show somebody what you're capable of.

So we gave away the small things instead. Every tool here started as something one of us wanted mid-task and couldn't find a decent version of.

Why the tools are free

To be straightforward about it, this site exists to put us in front of people. Someone arrives looking for a JSON formatter, finds one that doesn't waste their time, and now knows the name. If they later need something built, we'd like to be the call they make. That is the whole business model, and it only works if the tools are good.

So nothing is held back behind a signup, and no feature waits behind a paid tier. A tool that frustrates you is doing the opposite of the job we built it for.

What is different here

Free tool sites tend to converge on the same shape: a layout mostly made of advertising, a form that posts your input to a server you can't inspect, a consent wall over the top, an account you didn't ask for. This one is none of that, on purpose.

• No ad networkOne promotional card sits below each tool, served from a file on this site. Nothing is auctioned in real time, nothing follows you to the next page, and nothing opens over what you are reading.
• No backendThe tools run in your browser. There is no server to send your work to, which means there is nothing to leak, subpoena or lose in a breach.
• No accounts, no trackingNothing to sign up for and no analytics running anywhere on the site. The privacy page lists the requests that do happen and what each one can see.
• Copy that matches the codeThe long-form writing under each tool is checked against the running tool, and the worked examples are real output rather than illustrations. Four rounds of QA have gone through it line by line looking for the places prose drifted away from behaviour.

Custom versions

Several of these have a team-shaped version: a formatter that understands your internal schema, a converter wired into your pipeline, an internal page that does the one repetitive job your people do forty times a week. If reading this gave you an idea, that's the conversation we want to have.
